Support Burlington’s Winter Waterfront Tourism Initiative

3% Cover the Fee

100% of your one-time gift will be directed to the ice-skating rink project. VTSTRA will not keep any proceeds. Money raised beyond our goal will be donated to the project.

VTSTRA is asking our Burlington-area members to collectively match our $1,000 contribution to this tourism-boosting project led by a partnership among Main Street Landing, Burlington City Arts, and the ECHO Center.

If you help contribute, your business name or logo will appear on the ice skating rink for the entire season next to ours.

Let’s show the City that the Burlington Short-Term Rental Host Coalition is still here and continues to provide a vital service to visitors and residents alike.

About Burlington Waterfront Park’s Public Ice Skating Rink & Winter Activities

The Waterfront Park Public Ice Skating Rink is a collaborative community initiative to bring an eco-friendly synthetic ice rink to the city's waterfront parking lot in Burlington from late November through March. Designed to transform the waterfront into a vibrant winter playground, this project aims to attract locals and tourists during the slowest months of the year, drive foot traffic to surrounding local businesses, and foster multi-generational community recreation.

Rink Features & Operations:

  • Location & Facilities: Situated in the city's waterfront parking lot. Bathrooms located in the city lot will be kept open for rink visitors.

  • Sustainable Technology: Features state-of-the-art Glice UltraGlide synthetic panels (approx. 2,992 sq ft) offering a 98% real-ice feel with zero water or power consumption. Carbon emissions from production and transport are offset by planting 144 trees.

  • Capacity & Amenities: Accommodates up to 58 skaters at a time and includes 116 pairs of leisure skates, skate sharpening equipment, double-sided dasher boards, and beginner skating aids.

  • Operations & Maintenance: Operating daily from dawn to dusk following city park regulations. Managed as an open attraction with city support for plowing and routine site care.

Anticipated opening: November 27, 2026
