Election of Matt Latham to VTSTRA Board of Directors
VTSTRA Host Member, Matt Latham, has applied to serve a 3-year term on VTSTRA’s Board of Directors. Affirmative votes by Host Members present at this meeting will be tallied to determine the member’s election. Votes received by e-mail will not be accepted.
In Matt’s own words:
“I am currently a Director within the Real Estate Investments division at CPP Investments where I am responsible for the establishment of an asset management and data analytics platform to monitor the operational and financial performance of CPPIB’s global real estate portfolio. Prior to joining CPPIB, I was a Senior Consultant with RealFoundations (RF). RF is a global management consulting firm, which specializes in improving real estate companies’ operations. Earlier in my career, I worked as a sustainability and green building specialist, in-house for an affordable housing developer, and externally as a LEED consultant and government contractor to US EPA and US DOE on behalf of the ENERGY STAR program.
Serving on VTSTRA's board is attractive for three primary reasons:
My personal interests are directly aligned with that of the Alliance's mission in that I own and operate short-term rentals in Southern Vermont. I wish to advance the viability of the STR industry in the state. I have deep-rooted admiration for the financial and societal health of the State as my ancestors first came to Thetford, VT in the early 1800s, albeit a short move across the Connecticut River from Lymn, NH;
Contributing to the development and execution of a successful organizational strategy and providing support and advice is professionally satisfying. I have a long-tenured career in helping real estate companies operate more efficiently through the establishment of target operating models and leveraging systems and technology to support business processes. I also hold industry experience in affordable housing and advocacy work; and
Opportunities to spend time sharing best practices with board colleagues is important from a personal and business perspective. I am proud to impart my successful learnings.”
